It's mostly affiliated with Disney, however it's a competitive school to get into and is very respected for that industry. Notable alumni include Tim Burton, Craig McCracken (creator of Powerpuff Girls, and even the creator of Spongebob (I can't remember the person's name). However, there's a list I'll provide a link to that gives more names of successful alumni. If you want to get into animation, Cal Arts is by far the best place to go. One simple way to do that is to cross-fade between the textures using an animated composite material. Morphing a dog into a cat, is much more complex. 3ds max supports morphing only between objects that are topologically equivalent (i.e. objects that are different only in the lengths of the edges). One way to achieve it is creating a "base" model (i.e. with body, tail, legs, head) and leave enough extra geometry so you could model both dog model and cat model from the base model without adding geometry.
